Sparta’s dedication to coaching & sportsmanship shines through at the NJISRA year-end coaches banquet. Sparta Ski Team Head Coach Rodney Calafati was honored as the "2024 NJ High School Ski Coach Of The Year", while the Sparta Girls Ski Team was awarded the "Outstanding Sportsmanship" title in a three-way tie with Bernards & Blair.

A positive mindset paired with hard work creates an unstoppable force. I was impressed by how well the team performed this week; many really shined. Our initial practices were quite effective, setting a solid foundation for what’s to come. Our comprehensive dryland training program is specifically tailored to prepare our athletes for the demands of alpine ski racing by focusing on speed, agility, balance, and strength, ensuring a successful season ahead.
