NJ RACE OF CHAMPIONS (ROC)
Congratulations to our five NJ "All-League" Alpine Racers for making the top 30 in the state: Madison, Aubrey, Drew, Ryan, and Julia. Cheer them on at The Race Of Champions.
Disciplines: 2 Runs Giant Slalom followed by 2 Runs Slalom
The top 30 NJISRA ski racers are invited to compete in the ROC as "All League". This is determined by total league points earned at the end of the season, from 12 runs in the 6 conference races.
Depart SHS: 6:15am
Coaches Meeting: 8:30 am
Inspection: 9 am
Race Start: 10 am
COMPETING All-League (Top 30)
The ROC is the final race of the season to determine the top 12 boys and top 12 girls to be named to the NJ State Ski Team
The NJ All-State Team will be determined as follows: Individual NJISRA Conference Points multiplied by 0.15 plus points earned in the ROC. The ROC shall be scored as 4 separate runs in which athletes can earn points. Each run will be scored 30-1.
NJ STATE TEAM TOP 12 RACERS QUALIFY BASED ON POINTS
All-State NJ Ski Team: Twelve NJISRA racers will be named "All-State" NJ Boys Ski Team and "All-State" NJ Girls Ski Team based on points after the Race of Champions.
The NJ State Ski Team will train and compete at Eastern Regionals at Attitash in New Hampshire from March 7 to 10th. The 2024 NJ State Team Ski Coaches will be Rod Calafati, and John Fico.
